Antique Carved Alabaster Putto Fountain Lamp Sculpture

Beautiful antique carved alabaster sculpture artist signed M.A. Maffei. This artist is listed as an Italian sculptor working in the early 1900's. The sculpture depicts a beautiful sculptured Putto sitting on a rock work base, One hand holds the fountain. The fountain head is a half man/half wolf mythological face that has water flowing from its mouth. The Putto is washing his foot in the water. The sculpture can be adapted to be used as a lamp. The fountain has a hole drilled thru the center, and the column to the right of the Putto is removable making it easy for adaption to lighting. Weight 20 lbs. The sculpture measures 16-1/2 inches high, and 7-3/4 inches widest width. The Putto by itself measures 11 inches from the bottom of the foot to the top of its head.
